This search for sexual/gender identity outside the pink/blue paradigm reminds me of people who are brought up within an organized faith like Catholicism, leave it, and then look for some sort of more specific spirituality among the Pagans. The White House gossip anonymously reported in the press is that the President's mood is currently swinging between "How do I keep Democrats from stealing this election from me" to "I guess I'll have to run again in 2024".
